Join us one Wednesday a month for a set of Acoustic Roots, featuring a rotation of artists. Tonight, local bluegrass and folk artists Helen Forsythe and Alissa Jacobsen are here to serenade us. Come enjoy a chill evening of beautiful tunes by this talented duo.
Third Thursdays this winter: Join us and other introverts (or folks just in a chill mood) to read in quiet community. BYOB - except in this case the "B" stands for Book! We'll put on some quiet instrumental music and set aside some spots for reading and sipping. We'll also have a table for a book swap - please bring no more than 2 books per person that you're interested in giving away. Take home as many as you please!
Join us for our first ever Vinyl Night, with curated selections from local music nerds Chris Ash and Andy Flory, and of course it’s a collab with our fabulous local record shop, Verbena Vinyl! Matt Arthur is a Southern Minnesota blind man with a voice that calls to mind Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, and Nick Cave. He writes and records songs that conjure up early-70s Stones and Crazy Horse-era Neil Young. Fans of Sturgill Simpson and the Drive By Truckers are seriously into Matt Arthur’s music. He is a true American original, and unlike any musician you’re likely to encounter. Joining Matt tonight will be a few special guests!
Fred the Bear is an alt-rock band known for their rich harmonies, emotive dynamics and original songs. FTB’s music reflects on life's promises and disappointments through personal crafted lyrics and driving rhythms. Mixed within their originals is a blend of music from other Midwest artists, currently touring groups and classic bands.
