The Frothy Band is, as the name implies, a somewhat fluid organization. For Saturday,December 14, it turns out we’ll have the double fiddling duo of Mag McDermott and Jode Dowling. Those of you old (and lucky) enough to have had bunionectomies and/or colonoscopies may recall that the five of us (them two plus Tom Klein and Matt and Paul Wehling) were a band in the 90’s (1990’s, thank you) called Clumsy Lovers, that put out some recordings and played places like First Avenue and the Cedar Cultural Center and toured extensively, if you call Milwaukee, Duluth and St. Cloud State University extensive. Anyway, we’ll be brushing off the old discs to try to relearn a few tune sets, and just wailing away at some others. Who knows who might join in on the fun?
