KAVE is a jazz duo comprised of two top tier Twin Cities jazz players who happen to have deep connections to Northfield. Bassist Kevin Clements taught jazz bass at Carleton College for years when he wasn’t flying as a commercial pilot or gigging with any number of Twin Cities jazz greats. Dave Hagedorn is among the most in-demand vibes (the vibraphone is that things looks like a xylophone) players on the country. He performs regularly with many Twin Cities jazz groups as well as the Minnesota Orchestra and the St Paul Chamber Orchestra. Dave also is in charge of anything “jazz” at St Olaf College and directs the multi-award winning jazz bands at the college.

Kevin and Dave both live in Northfield and have been making music together since 1997. They have been a mainstay at Imminent Brewing since the opening in 2017. They perform at least once a month on “Jazz Sunday” at Imminent. KAVE Jazz will be welcoming a variety of guest artists to join them on stage — Tonight, we welcome Rich MacDonald, drummer extraordinaire and professor of jazz studies at Winona State.

This fluid group will come together at Imminent Brewing on the 4th Sunday of the month from 5:00-8:00 to help you wind down your weekend with some great jazz and a couple of relaxing pints. Please come down and listen….
