Lonesome Dan Kase brings a little old time blues, country, andgospel to the Armory Square outdoor stage on Sunday to wrap up the Craft Beverage Festival.
A throwback to the days of the Mississippi juke joint, Lonesome Dan Kase is a troubadour of the old school. Like many of the blues musicians from the early 1900’s that Lonesome Dan discovered and came to love as a young man, he acquired a wander-lust and began traveling around the country busking on street corners, finally settling in Minneapolis in 2001.
Lonesome Dan’s live performances showcase both his unique finger-picking style and dynamic vocals as well as his depth of knowledge of the history of the blues and related forms.. If you catch a live performance, you’re bound to walk away with some interesting tidbits about known artists like Blind Lemon Jefferson or more obscure performers like Funny Papa Smith.
With his trusted traveling companions, his hand built Kopp K-35 6-string and his 1935 National played bottleneck/slide style, Lonesome Dan will provide the perfect accompaniment to the final day of the Craft Beverage Festival.
